Evaluation of orofacial dysfunctions and oral health-related quality of life in children with asthma

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the impact of asthma on oro-facial muscle dysfunction (OFD) and oral health-related quality life (OHRQoL) in children. Materials Method: A total 158 children, 79 diagnosed with healthy, were included study. Children divided into controlled uncontrolled groups. The OFD OHRQoL all participants evaluated Nordic Orofacial Test Screening (NOT-S) Child Perception Questionnaire (CPQ8-10). differences correlations between groups statistically (Mann-Whitney Spearman Chi-Square test). Results: NOT-S interview, examination, scores higher group compared healthy children (p<0.001). Higher obtained areas CPQ8-10 elevated compatibly asthma. Conclusion: asthmatic predicts worse OHRQoL.
